In most cases it is not always necessary to replace an old lift in its entirety. A lift modernisation / refurbishment can be a much more cost effective way to improve the reliability, performance, safety and aesthetics of your lift while bringing it up to date with modern technology, or to comply with the Equality act 2010, formally DDA (Disability Discrimination Act).

In many cases simply replacing a few key components can go a long way to improving every aspect of your lift.

At JM Lift Services, following a site survey we will put together a bespoke modernisation package to suit your needs and budget. Being an independent company we can source parts from various suppliers, therefore giving us more options and flexibility with costs and lead times.

From a new controller and full rewire, to just upgrading problem parts with a modern, more reliable equivalent. All our work is carried out to a high standard and is fully tested to comply with British and European Standards.

We advise customers that 80% of callouts on lifts are due to lift doors and controllers, therefore it would make sense to upgrade these items along with associated signalling equipment to reduce your callouts considerably.

Lift refurbishment will generally take half the time to complete compared to a new lift and will have a much reduced impact on the everyday use of the building.

A lift in its design, has a recommended lifespan. This is based on the planned usage of the lift and the building environment that it resides.
